The Sensational Celebration of the 121 Victory of Ethiopia in London

Ethiopians in London Warmly celebrated the 121 Anniversary of the Victory of Ethiopia on 12 March 2017 at York Garden Library in Battersea.

The war was waged between the invading Italian Colonialist army and the peaceful Ethiopian people at a place called Adwa in Northern Ethiopia. On 01 March 1896 the formidable Ethiopian infantry successfully rooted out the invaders and surprised the whole world.

This video contains useful and educative information for those who want to learn about the unjust war declared against Ethiopia and how the Ethiopian people mobilised under King Menelik’s leadership, defeated the invader and sustained the independence of Ethiopia.

Main speakers included: Ms Matasabia Qatsala, Melake Birhan Qesis Birhanu Bisrat and Mr Agegnehu Mekonnen respectively. There were also Fukera (patriotic song) and poems regarding the martyrs of the battle and Ethiopia’s shining victory.
