TPLF has continued its violence against the leaders and members of the opposition group. The recent picture disseminated by social and other media outlets is an outrageous and inhuman action by the regime in Ethiopia. The Lawless TPLF thugs know that Prof Gudina is not a threat against any one but he was unlawfully handcuffed to several armed TPLF security forces before and after his apprance in court.

TPLF’s Arrogance and defiance has saddened many Ethiopians and should be condemned by the governments and international Human Rights Groups. It is also ridiculous that TPLF is using anti-terrorism legislation to suppress legitimate and peaceful Opposition Leaders Such As Professor Merera Gudina, Mr Mamushet Amare and many others by fabricating fake accusations and stories.

BBC reported that Prof Merera, who is the leader of the Oromo Federalist Congress, was arrested  at the Addis Ababa Airport, after he returned back to Ethiopia from Brussels.

BBC said that the European Parliament Member Ms Ana Maria Gomes, who invited Prof Merera is “extremely shocked” about the arrests and promised to push the European Union to take a tougher line against the authoritarian regime. Mr Merera has previously criticised the arrests of hundreds of people from the Amhara and Oromo ethnic groups, which were at the forefront of anti-government protests. The Amhara and Oromo are the two largest ethnic groups in Ethiopia but suffering from both political and economic marginalisation by the ethnic based regime in the country.
