Iwooket strongly Condemns the backward atrocities of TPLF against the Wello Amharas. The lawless mercenary TPLF continues its shocking crimes against Humanity in Ethiopia. The recent Massacre of dozens of the peaceful Woldiya Amharas is a despicable Human Rights Violation by the notorious terrorist group that hold power in the name of EPDRF for the last 27 years in Ethiopia.
The 21 January 2018 indiscriminate shooting and killing of the peaceful people of Wello who have been celebrating Epiphany in front of the Ark of the covenant in Wodiya is one one of the most heinous crimes of TPLF which will hunt Weyane/Tigres for generations to come.
Epiphany is one of the main Holy Days for the Ethiopian and other Christian Orthodox Church Followers. Many thousands of people go to TIMKETE Bahir and gather to celebrate Baptism day every Year in Ethiopia. The number of the victims varies but most reporters say that the death toll is more than 11 People and many other people were seriously wounded.
It is saddening that TPLF has been using these gatherings to shoot and kill people in all part of Ethiopia. Suffice to mention the Gondar, Addis Ababa and the Debrezeit (Irrecha) mass killings in previous Years. We call the international community to isolate TPLF before it is too late to control the looming serious Human Rights Violations in the area. The Amharas in Showa, Gondar and Gojam must support the Wello Amharas and start defending themselves by coordinating their resources with the Oromos and other brotherly Ethnic groups. The people of Ethiopia deserve support from the international community so as to defend themselves from the lawless TPLF regime using all means available.
