Ever since the Ethiopian Orthodox Church has been in control of the Tigray regime, it has been a steady source of income for the TPLF. What many Ethiopian Orthodox Chruch followers do not know or rather deliberately ignore putting their faith in God, is that their money goes into fund the lavish life styles of so called priest as well as Tigray officials. Funds raised are always stolen periodically and distributed among Tigray priests or are appropriated for the development of Tigrays.
The late patriarch Ato Paulos was known for his devious ways. He was a corrupt and immoral individual who made sure the Church’s resources were exploited to the maximum. This was for his own gratification as well as to protect the regime that put him power. In accordance with the TPLF’s outright hate for the Orthodox Church, he has played an instrumental role in destroying the Church from within. Today, the Church functions as nothing but a puppet of the Tigray regime.
The current patrarich, Ato Mathias, like his predecessor is another Tigray priest who is highly invested in further exploiting the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. He is in power in the same manner Ato Paulos took power.
A recent report shows that 1.5 billion birr has been lost. Once again, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church is nothing more than a milk cow for the Tigray regime.We advise Orthodox followers keep their money to themselves and carryout what they deem is right.
Do not give your money to the Church, instead you can help your own family members and those on the streets.
There is nowhere in the bible that commands for people to give to the Church. You may serve God in your own way
