Ethiopians residing in London passionately Commemorated the 122nd Anniversary of the Victory of Ethiopia at the Battle of Adwa. The Event was Organised by the London Moresh Amhara Wegene (MAW) and the Ethiopian Unity for Justice in Britain (EUJB). The Battle was waged on 01 March 1896 between the Peace loving Ethiopian people and the invader Colonialist Army of Italy.

The Extraordinary Commemoration and remembrance event was held at York Gardens Library, 34 Lavender Road, Battersea in the London Borough of Wandsworth. This is part one. The London St Mary of Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the London Ethiopian Artist group, the Youth, Adults, Elderlies and Children from all sectors of the Ethiopian community participated in this well attended event. Speakers talked about the thrilling History of this battle and its significance not only for Ethiopia and Africa but also for Asia and the wider international Community.
