It is an irresponsible Statement and saddening News that MP Kate Osamor, Labour (Co-op) MP for Edmonton, has written a letter and also tweeted publicly UK to recognise the Tigre region of Ethiopia.
The whole world Knows that TPLF has been committing genocide and looting against the Ethiopian people until it has been ousted from the Central Government in 2018. Today TPLF is stationed in Tigray and financing and training terrorists who have been committing shocking crimes against pregnant women, children and the Elderly. Ethiopians in the UK, APPG on TWS, Amnesty International and other Peace loving institutions have held several meetings in the House of Parliament, House of Commons and House of Lords and condemned the HRVs in Ethiopia many times. We have never seen/heard Ms Kate Osamor when she expressed her concern against the gross Human Right Violations and genocide in Ethiopia by TPLF.
Does MP Kate know the politics of Africa or is she simply biased towards Ethiopia? And again MP Kate outrageously defends the terrorist and genocide perpetrator Warlord TPLF to succeed form Ethiopia with impunity. What an inhuman and anti African divisive statement!
The Ethiopian People will continue to defend their Country and are preparing to bring the notorious African terrorists (TPLF and OLF) to the International Criminal Court or inside the country. TPLF used Tigre region of Ethiopia as a fertile ground for harbouring international terrorists. But MP Kate Osamor’s reckless statement blatantly interfered directly against the Unity and the territorial integrity of sovereign Ethiopia.
MPs in Developed countries such as the UK focuse in listening to their communities and abide by code of conduct, represent their constituents and campaign for peace, stability and progressive social justice. But MP Kate Osamor is interfering with the very sensitive of issue of the Ethiopian/African issues. British Citizens residing in London and Ethiopians in the mainland are outraged by this irresponsible statement which actually cannot affect the long and firm friendly relationship between Ethiopia and the UK.
